Spring Summer Trends Animal Print Rocks

by Michael Mulligan on April 27, 2012

Just like floral print, animal prints were given a dramatic update for this season. Variations on natural colours were prominent, clashed with other similar or contrasting graphic prints

Go classic with gold, beige or yellow toned leopard print – Perfect for keeping your look subtle and stylish or for a fresher approach, take cue from the bold and glamorous pieces we saw in the Versace for H&M collection last year and opt for lots of colour.

Check out these great prints from Asos, Topshop, Net-a-porter, and Boohoo.

Spring Beauty

by Gabrielle on April 26, 2012

New from Nude is this fabulous cleansing oil with Omega 3 and Vitamin E . It turns into a milk as you sweep it on, leaving skin sparkling and free from grime and make up. I loved the jasmine and gardenia smell as well. I have hypersensitive skin so I relish a range which leaves my skin calm and not irritated.

I have long been a fan of imedeen and it was no suprise to me to find out that 7 different clinical trials have found that imedeen users have 30% better skin density than non-users. It reduces visible signs of skin aging and replenishes the dermal layers.

Hotel Chocolat Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………

by Gabrielle on March 28, 2012

All fashionistas love clothes, most love chocolate as well. Take a look at this Extra Thick Eggsibitionist Egg. Yum!! I love their chocolate. One to give to a friend, eat by yourself or ask for as a gorgeous present from your loved one.

This one is a treat! I love champagne and chocolate so for me this is the perfect combination. Relax sip a glass of champagne and enjoy this egg for Easter.

Michael Van Der Ham Autumn Winter 2012

by Gabrielle on February 20, 2012

Michael Van Der Ham took inspiration from Veronica Lake and Zeigfeld Follies.  Using textured organza, hand finished applique and metallic lace.

Colours ranged from orange, navy and turquoise to soft corals a welcome change from the familiar black of autumn winter collections.

The evening wear sparkled with gold and silver sequins.

Bora Aksu London Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2012

by Gabrielle on February 17, 2012

This was a fab first show for me. I was entranced by the amazing embroidery. Absolutely jammed packed and for good reason. A delight.

Take a look at this spectacular head piece Lovely.

Simple go-anywhere dress, easy to wear.

I love the vibrant colours, as a stylist I see too much black in the winter collections.

Fabulous Florals Spring Summer 2012 Trend Alert

by Gabrielle on January 30, 2012

Florals have been a firm staple trend (so you’ve probably got plenty in your wardrobe) for the past few years and SS12 saw them receive yet another chic update. These aren’t the standard floral prints you’re used to seeing. This seasons florals have a real depth and artistry to them and the great thing is there is something to suit everyone. Opt for full on vintage romance like Valentino and Alberta Ferretti with dusty pinks, sheer panels and intricate embroidery.

Some florals  take a thoroughly modern approach with pop-art perennials (like Christopher Kane and Rodarte) and bold graphic prints (like Alexander Wang, Matthew Williamson and Mary Katrantzou).

Tips for wearing SS12 Florals: – Try to choose the vintage inspired  or graphic printed florals. – For one on-trend look try clashing florals with an aquatic print or stripes. – For another, try floral prints in soft pastel colours. Here’s a small edition of Florals currently available:

With London Fashion Week just around the corner – Will Autumn/Winter provide yet another incarnation of this mega-trend?

Siren Song : Spring Summer 2012 Trends

January 10, 2012

The  theme of water appears to have been the canvas for the spring-summer 2012 parades. The mythical siren sang beguilingly to designers to lure them into creating homage to herself and the aquamarine and cerulean sea realm. The models came  wrapped in clothes in the colors of the seabed, rebrodées and shimmering scales at Givenchy [...]
