Whenever I went to Galerie LaFayette in Paris, I would come home with Pinko!! Some of my most favourite clothes are from this shop. Look at this Tuxedo jacket beautifully tailored, peplum waist, fitted. Worn like this for a classic style or over a sweet or black lace dress which is what I am wearing at the moment. A style that Madonna and Alexa Chung have copied!!! Mix classic tailoring with the softly feminine. Personal Stylist Choice.

Italian women tend to be small and curvy. Like many of my clients and indeed me! We can’t do the long boyfriend jacket without becoming swamped. Trust me very few clients I have are a size zero and 6 feet tall! Pinko is sexy, this is a great LBD and will flatter if you have a bit of a tummy by accentuating the waist at a higher level. Party! Party! Look at asymmetric neck.

This beautifully cut jacket will suit slightly taller women,5`6” plus etc. Not as long as the classic boyfriend and more wearable. Note the detail long, long arms that push up to add extra style. Also fab boots and great pants.

This is another great dress, also handkerchief hem mini skirts. Wearable, affordable fashion. Wear opaque tights, shoe boots, chunky jewellery.

Jacket and boots embellishments bang on trend for AW09 for those of you rock-chics
I have an organza jacket that people stop me in the street and ask where I got it from, this is their current version. Fun, stylish, affordable clothes. Pinko. It Chelsea, Knightsbridge.

Emma Cook
The days of free Campari may have been and gone, but the new Somerset House location, at least, proves that LFWD is stepping in the right direction. I am not sure if it was the new stunning location or the seductive purple night light but London’s fashion fierce were out to shop ’til they dropped in nothing less than a 4inch stiletto!
Among the top few were: Emma Cook
Emma Cook Topshop
Emma Cook collaborated this year with Topshop to a very popular response as shoppers snatched up her fun and frisky deer printed silk dresses and tunics. Known for her endless detail and playful patterns her mixes of silk and chiffon make Emma’s designs not only lovely daytime pieces but something that can be given that rocker edge when matched with this season’s ankle boots or sky high heels.

Mawi
As a long-time lover, I could not get to their stand fast enough, as they returned to LFWD this year after 2 seasons of absence. An amazing gift or a show stopping piece Mawi produces intricate and elegant pieces every season to suit every style and always with tremendous attention to detail.

CRISTOPHER KANE
Christopher Kane backshow was a revelation. The models were all smiling, chatting away and dreaming about food!!!!! Until a camera appeared…………..
CHRISTOPHER KANE
The professional pout appeared, the eyes widen and glisten fascinating to watch.
CHRISTOPHER KANE SS10
The model uniform as you can see is a tshirt and jeans.
CHRISTOPHER KANE
Russell Marsh as Casting Director came from Prada and showed just how far and rapidly Christopher Kane has progressed.

Despite what you read about Diva tantrums I saw only charm and smiles.
CHRISTOPHER KANE
The clothes were fabulous too. Summery, Chiffons and Ginghams with sex appeal.
CHRISTOPHER KANE
Each girl has her own clothes with her name, photo, shoe size etc and order for the show.

The runway practice was something I had not seen before.

The clothes, gingham and the softly lit off white runway reminded me of Bardotesque fashions from the South of France..

Lovely

Here you can see the pictures of each model and the details beside their place backstage.

I found it really hard to take photos because everyone was at least a foot taller than me!!

The girl at the front here was about 6`6” tall, beautiful with long, long legs like a stork!!!

Boru Aksu SS10
25th London Fashion Week Anniversary: I was waiting for the fashion designers coming back “ home” after years of absence, front rows full again by big fashion industry names ( Anna Wintour, Vogue USA & Franca Sozzani, Vogue ITALIA in primis) , celebrities, sumptuous parties.
Basso Brooke SS10
And show after show, the feeling I had was that the “Londoners” decided to celebrate this important event on the runway as well, catalysing the crowd.
Issa SS10
It is impossible the attention of the viewers has not been attracted by the singularity of fabrics: they take life building the silhouette garments, in particular little dresses, creating optical effects extremely intriguing.
Louise Goldin SS10
Bristling with stiff pleats Louise Goldin
Matthew Williamson SS10
and embellishments MATTHEW WILLIAMSON
Danielle Scutt SS10
overlaid with tulle (DANIELLE SCUTT, BORA AKSU)
Mary Katrantzou SS10
Experimenting new high technology to enhance the “ wet- look” ( BASSO & BROOKE, MARY KATRANTZOU)
Jonathan Saunders SS1-
Or digital printed in a Lichtenstein effect ( JOSH GOOT, JONATHAN SAUNDERS)
ERDEM SS10
Or 3- D embroidered with flowers ( ERDEM).
Leaving you hypnotized by this new fashion illusion.

Josh Goot had a great fun show. I can imagine wearing this gorgeous dress next spring.

This beautiful pink short dress is one to make the boys cry-fabulous.

Look at the sizzling colours in this and imagine wearing on holiday with a tan.

Dress to impress no one will fail to notice this one!

My personal shopping clients will love these clothes!! I can’t wait to see them in the shops. From the moment the show started there was a frisson of excitement in the room as gorgeous dress after gorgeous dress appeared.

Sensational silks, softly flowing in great colours, just look at this fabulous sea green dress. The press girl sitting next to me and I both whispered to each other “Lovely, I want that dress!”

Roksander used feather detailing both on the shoes and on the dresses, fun and wearable. I love the elegant lines of this dress.

Burnished golds and bronzes created “wow” dresses that will stop traffic.

This is a sensational number I can see being paraded around the restaurants in Club 55 St Tropez. Check out the shoes and the fab chunky jewellery- great!!

This is a little black dress with a difference! Utterly memorable for all the right reasons.

As a fitting end to a great great show Erin O’Connor gave us a great grin and looked simply wonderful! Thank you Erin!
